FSC TRAP SHOOTING

FSC Trap Chairperson:    Esther Erickson

Description: Information about Trap Shooting and its origins can be found at http://www.shootata.com/content/General_Info_MM.aspx

Rules and Laws: The Trap field is open to members according to the regular range schedule.  Exceptions to this are work days and other scheduled events.  Only biodegradable clays may be used on the field.  Anyone violating this policy is subject to disciplinary action including eviction from the club.  Club approved biodegradable targets may be puchased on meeting nights or by contacting Esther Erickson.

EVENTS AND NEWS

We have just purchased a Canterbury Voice Release system for use with our Pat Trap machine and it works great. We also purchased the one remaining unit to complete the Ventriloquist Voice release system that was donated to us awhile back and will have that available for use on the Remington Machine.

Ian Brown is trying to organize an informal competition for youth shooters. Anyone who is interested in participating is encouraged to talk to him on Tuesday nights.

As always you can shoot any time the ranges are open - if you bring your own clays and a thrower.  You must use biodegradable clays - which can be purchased at the club on meeting nights or  by contacting Esther via the trap email address.  Pelletier's in Jaffrey also sells the Bio clays.

Please be courteous to anyone using the rifle range when you arrive - as they are expected to be courteous of you as well.

During the Spring, Summer and early Fall we shoot on Tuesday Nights at 6pm.

These informal Trap Shoots are open to members and the general public.  Shooters of all levels from novice to expert; men, women and children (with parent or guardian) are all welcome.  Cost is currently $3.00 per round.  You need to bring your own firearm and ammunition.

If you have never shot Trap and would like to give it a try, then check out the Beginner's Shoots below.

We will be holding Beginner's Shoots on Saturdays from 9 AM - Noon
June 19th
July 17th
August 21st

This is a great opportunity to try your hand at Trap Shooting in a safe, non-threatening environment.  The day begins with safety instruction followed by informal, supervised shooting.  Firearms, ammunition, targets, eye and ear protection, are available for your use free of charge.

All are welcome, but don't expect to shoot unless you are new to the sport, or consider yourself to be a novice.  Please contact Esther at 989-827-3340 if you have questions or wish to sign up.

Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by parent or guardian to shoot.

Club approved biodegradable targets are available from the club. ONLY approved targets can be used on our range.
